Speaking from experience of being an expansion team, I feel it gave us an advantage for the first season or two. We were so hyped to be in the SEC. Fans of teams who never experienced it will not understand but you both will.

I believe you. As a fan, I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about Texas football. 2024 can’t get here soon enough.

A&M came in with a Spread Air raid with a prototype QB to run it during a period of time that teams were trying to adapt to Saban’s bully ball control and suffocating run defense. The shake up was nearly flawlessly executed but like many high octane offense-first oriented teams - you eventually run out of bullets after enough film is taped. Similar to Malzahn at Auburn.

Mizzou had initial success bc the East from 2011-2016 outside of a few teams was a heaping pile of dog shite.
