I'm really surprised that they never managed one

Right. And I had to read it twice to see who was missing.

Talking about undefeated or perfect? If just undefeated, you forgot Florida, I know 1911 is a long time ago for some.
If perfect, then you need to take MsState off that list.
If perfect, then you need to take MsState off that list.

How about "Perfect Seasons" (no losses or ties)?

You could have at least put the last undefeated year for each team.

Can you please put LSU at #1 since it was the historical greatest team that has ever stepped on the field in college football history

And we don't even count it as a NC despite one of the polls giving it to us.

No poll voted Mizzou #1 in 1960.

Not true.

Sewanee - 1 - 1899
quote:
Sewanee was one of the first college football powers of the South.
The 1899 Tigers went 12–0, outscored opponents 322–10, and won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) title. Several writers and sports personalities consider this Sewanee team one of the greatest football teams ever to play.
With just 18 players, the team known as the "Iron Men" had a six-consecutive-day road trip with five shutout wins over Texas A&M, Texas, Tulane, LSU, and Ole Miss.

This trip is recalled memorably with the Biblical allusion "...and on the seventh day they rested."

As a side note, that Auburn team (the only one that scored points against) was coached by John Heisman.
Sewanee eventually became a co-founding member of the SEC in 1932, never won a conference game, and left in 1940, which helped usher in the creation of DIII sports.
"A small liberal arts college simply can not compete in football with large universities," the school president wrote at the time.
