Dude, Bama had 5/13 games last season decided by less than one score. All but 1 being road games. While one was against a top program last year, the rest were against schools that were OK, but not playoff level last year. Honestly, if Saban wants to whine about this, then the next words out of his mouth should be that Tenn should have been in playoffs because they had the same record as Bama, but a win against Bama.

and the year before that was no better, had they not had their greatest QB in history bailing them out they would have had multiple 3-4 loss seasons back to back...

Dude…. The pony of taking teams based on record stands on its own. He didn’t say Bama should be there. They could support LSU, Tennessee, or anyone else.

The point specifically about Bama was if Bama would have been favored over all but one team that was selected, why aren’t they in? There has to be something the selection committee is missing. No doubt Bama or LSU, or UT would have given Ga a better game.

Try reading his entire thought on the comments. What Saban said is good for college football, not just UA.
