It’s not just Florida. The apathy amongst once proud fanbases is rampant & accelerating.

From 2010-2018 Florida made it to Omaha 7/9 years and won their lone title in 2017. They had also been in 05 and 08, being runner ups in 05. You'd think being in Omaha for the first time since 2018 and being in the finals, a team that has done that well pretty consistently would have a well traveling, loyal fanbase by now.

Yep. Texas won our titles in the peak era of college baseball. No one cares anymore; players got cheap enough for even LSU to afford.

Bama had to fire their baseball coach because he bet on LSU to beat them, Bama's basketball team had a murderer on it (with a gun assist from Brandon Miller) before they got bounced in the tourney, and their football team will get beat again in Bryant-Jenny by LSU just like they got beat in year 1 by Brian Kelly with a lesser talented team. Bama better start looking for a niche sport that they can be good in.

Florida should have better support than they do in baseball though considering how much damn success they have had in it. I don't know the answer. It's not like they are killing it in football or basketball like they once did.

Oh you weren't, but you should have been. Hard to argue against reality.

Because it’s college baseball.

Too much to do in FL - not worth surrendering a weekend to watch college baseball (lol). It’s like the women’s bball of men’s sports

What’s yer point?

It’s less relevant that there’s less FL fans at a game than the Staunch LSU figs that inundate any venue at any given time?? Naw, that’s going to happen. They overwhelm the other fan base and it’s why so sweet when other teams like GA in the SECCG thumps em…or FL beats em in the last NC in baseball. Or they go through a relevant hardship of shady coaches and players…

Would be great for FL to thump em this year in CWS.

Your best "sour grapes" post in a while.

Try some Boudreax's Butt Paste for that burn that just doesn't stop.

Did you miss this in his post?
....college baseball....

The Yankees are not college baseball. It's acceptable to like pros and not college...or college and not pros.

You can bet if FSU was here they would have a lot more fans here

I had a U F fan go to Nashville instead of coming here because he Edi’s my feel like “wasting his money” on watching the game. He talks a lot of trash on Facebook and got mad last night when he was getting texts and calls about the game

LSU fans have bought 37,000 Jell-O shots just to beat Ole Miss, if you think LSU will not put up big money for baseball players, you are not paying attention.

Yea but it’s funny that you say it’s “ college baseball” when LSU has like 3 of the most watched baseball games this year college or MLB. even the poor Yankees can’t get the viewers a college baseball game can.

Not according to the ratings. There are plenty of sports considered “mainstream” that will never see those numbers.
