0.0% chance he throws tonight after throwing 123 pitches a few days ago. His regular bullpen session wouldn't even be until tomorrow

With only days rest? Not a chance.

I want to see the Vols sent packing, LSU bats will have to get it done tonight.

Going to need someone to have a Gilbert vs Oregon State 2017 performance, "greatest team of all time" just to get shut down by a LSU pitcher who was middle of the pack bullpen.

No chance. Probably not even tomorrow, if we win tonight

Looks like Ben's single season KO record in safe now. Hope Paul gets a chance to tie/break it.

I could see them running him out for an inning or two, to try and beat the record.

Gilbert had a 2.15 ERA in 58.1 innings in 2017. He was the go-to long reliever, 4th starter, the entire 2017 season. Yeah, he pitched the game of his life against Oregon St, but to say he was "middle to the back of the bullpen" is just flat out wrong

When his mechanics catch up to his arm, he might be even scarier. He uses a lot of arm in his delivery which can make for a shorter career.

He will be an all-star in the majors.

Back then the balls didn't fly, ERA's in general were lower. Balls are Juiced, Bats are juiced, you do not see many 2.50 and below ERAs anymore in the college game this year.

That has little do with the assertion that he was "middle to back of the bullpen." he had the lowest ERA in LSU's bullpen and only Hess had more innings pitched of bullpen arms. Gilbert had almost twice as much usage as anyone else. So, no, he was not middle to the back of LSU's bullpen. He and Hess were the top 2 arms in the bullpen that year
