You spelled Jason Witten incorrectly.

You could easily argue that he's alrady hte best ever and he's still got another season to go.

The pinnacle, absolute very BEST season witten ever had in college...saw him have 17 less catches, 389 less yards, and 9 less touchdowns than brock's WORST season so far.

Witten wasn't used that much by Tennessee. Much better NFL TE than in college. TE has been underutilized in college for a long, long time. Only recently becoming a go to position on offense. Very rare to see that even a decade ago.

Aaron Hernandez is comparable and had more of a "killer instinct"

Winslow didn't play in the SEC.
Newsome would have a good argument based on the percentage of use in the passing game at that time. Very impressive senior year.
Witten would be like me trying to claim Stafford a better college qb than Tebow.

Realize this is more of a joke, but Hernandez's last year is the only year remotely comparable to Bowers first two seasons.
Could make an argument for Pitts based on his junior year based on production in games played. We'll see what Brock does this year. I could see him doing about the same as the first two years because the WR room is better/deeper.

After looking through some of the top tight ends in recent years stats it looks like Evan Engram is the only one with a comparable season. In 2016 he had 65 receptions for 926 yards with a 14.2 avg and 8 tds in only 11 games. Also was sharing the ball with AJ Brown and Van Jefferson but DK Metcalf getting hurt in the first game probably helped his stats some.

The 450 pound baylor player a few years ago

It really is Bowers. It’s not particularly close either.

Bowers has a very realistic chance to score 35+ TDs in a three year college career. That is absurd for a TE.

Ozzie Newsome
102 receptions
2070 yds
20 yd per catch AVERAGE
Playing in the wishbone offense.

Don't get me wrong Bowers is a great player but he's really just a receiver playing TE. He wasn't even the best blocking TE on his own team.
