Agreed. Texas has these the next 5 years.

2023 @Alabama
2024 @Michigan
2025 @Ohio State
2026 Ohio State
2027 Michigan

So yes, 9-3 or better will be hard for Texas, but if we are good, then we will get there. If we lose 4 games, then I can’t think of one good reason that we would belong in the playoff.

3 losses = bubble, and that’s fair

2 losses = likely in, also fair

eta: I don’t think that we would schedule those games today, but we needed them on the schedule at the time. It’s gonna be fun for the fans, but it will suck if that keeps us out.

Ouch.

I get the feeling OCC games are going to include more and more cupcakes when we go to 9 game conference schedule.
