Coincidentally Saban is pretty much the only reason people see Bama/LSU as a rivalry.

Vast majority of Bama fans simply don’t

Exactly. Nothing against LSU fans at all, but most of us could give a rat’s arse about playing them yearly. Many great games, but Bama has had just as many (if not more) against Georgia throughout the years.

As a Bama fan this is simply bullshite. In the past it may not have been, but it is now/was a divisional rivalry... Obviously not on the level of the long-standing rivalry of Tennessee & Auburn. And it may eventually die off especially with the elimination of divisions.

But for now it's still a rivalry nonetheless especially with Saban and many of the years it being a heated game and often barn burner

Coincidentally, he's the only reason Bama stayed relevant (Post Stallings).

Since 2005, there hasn't been a bigger game in CFB.
