I was going to ask this myself. The SEC has its clear academic tiers, and I can not imagine Ole Miss magically sky-rocketing. In fact I think their enrollment went down two years ago.
I am not saying Ole Miss is a bad school at all. Just curious what changed to indicate such a change in its perception.

This not the professional and prestigious ranking you are thinking. The US News and World Report. List is very suspect.
