Auburn's #13 seed was not only unprecedented for any previous team with a 34-21-1 record ever but their no show as a regional host proved historic as well.
Auburn baseball's 34-23-1 record is the worst final season record of any regional host in college baseball history. It's a dubious record not likely to be broken for many, many years if ever.
