Their fan support is nowhere near what it should be, their student body is probably 80% out-of-state and most of them are here to party at the beach, not attend sporting events

That's the vibe I got when visiting friends at Coastal about 20 years ago. They actually were in-state though.

I’m torn who to cheer for.. Stanford or A&M.

1) @ Stanford
or
2) vs A&M
3) @ A&M

I definitely don’t want to play @ A&M.

The committee screwed up putting us against each other in the SR. If A&M can pull it out against Stanford, Texas and A&M will both have pretty equal resumes. Damned if you do.. damned if you don’t. Whoever suggested Minute Maid had the right idea.. Whoever is the road team should be the home team for games 1 & 3..

I definitely want Stanford to win this game and push another game tomorrow.. preferably 54 innings.

It's probably worse now. Coastal is a low-key gorgeous campus, but the problem is where it's located. It's between Hwy 501 and Hwy 544, two major routes to get from Conway to the beaches. There's nowhere for the campus to grow and you have almost zero on-campus housing, so most of the students live in these apartment complexes that are off-campus, some of which are miles from the campus. It lacks a college vibe and I think that contributes to some of the struggles they've had with fan support.
