When was the last time y'all actually scheduled 2 ooc p-5 teams ? I do commend y'all for going 2 this year, but I would argue that this is the exception and not the rule.

2007 - at North Carolina
2008 - at NCSU
2009 - NCSU
2010 - Southern Miss*
2011 - ECU/CLT
2012 - ECU UAB*
2013 - North Carolina
2014 - ECU
2015 - North Carolina/CLT
2016 - ECU
2017 - NCSU/CLT
2018 - Marshall* (cancelled - Hurricane)
2019 - North Carolina/CLT
2020 - SEC 10 game schedule only
2021 - ECU/Greenville NC
2022 - none
2023 - North Carolina/CLT

8 of the 15 non-covid seasons since 2007 Carolina has played either UNC or NCSU. USC has played ECU in 5 other seasons UNC or NCSU wasn't on our schedule. Gamecocks play the tarholes again in 2023 at BofA.

that's 13 of the past 15 non-covid seasons USC has played 10 games against significant opponents. our history with ECU goes back well into the 80s both as Southern Independents.

*Southern Miss/UAB/Marshall aren't P5 but they're more significant than most programs/FCS opponents.
