Picking Bama over LSU this season? Still raising an eyebrow at this...

I don't think I've seen anyone so far that didn't have Bama right behind UGA and Ohio st and picked to BEAT LSU and win the west this season.
LSU returns everyone including their star QB. Bama loses a ton, including a Heisman winning QB, stud at RB and one of the best DEs I've seen in a while. Not to mention Kelly took Bama down in his first try, so they're NOT gonna be intimidated.
On the other hand, there's no shame in losing to UGA or a pretty stout Vol team, but wetting the bed against the Aggies? Whoa...that has to be unnerving for the Bayou faithful? And of course, here comes a fresh new batch of 5-star recruits...in true Saban-like fashion.
So... maybe one of you experts could clarify it for me; Why WILL Bama win the west this season? Or uh....not?

Bama get the benefit of the doubt. Not really hard to understand why.
Preseason picks are completely worthless, so who cares anyway?

Just making offseason conversation. I guess, by lashing out at me the way you did, you must have resolved to the fact that Bama is gonna mop the floor with LSU this season?

looks like you got a very reasonable answer, one that I agree with fwiw
Bama absolutely deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point in time…

Yeah, I give Bama the benefit of a doubt, for sure. But it's starting to feel like no LSU fan on this forum has much faith in Kelly and their team.
Who do YOU think's gonna win the west?

LSU is better than Alabama. LSU has a better QB, better OL and DL. Anyone that would argue this simply doesn't know anything about football.

This is overselling the troll. You are too obvious.

What the? Man, it's worse than I thought. You really believe that? I disagree with ya. I think Daniels is a great QB and Bama is possibly putting their faith in a Notre Dame reject.
Man...the irony here is beyond belief. A UGA fan defending LSU to an LSU fan! 3 days ago, I was defending Bryce Young to a Bama fan who was putting him down on this forum. I think there's been a tear in the fabric of space/time or something! What is the world coming too!

Well, how about you be the first LSU fan on this thread to answer my question then. Will LSU beat Bama?

You really need to calm down

Don't get angry at me because you have chronic vaginosis. I thought LSU fans on here were a little more passionate, that's all.

I think LSU has a much better shot this year than they had last year and they won it last year. I still don't know how BAMA managed to lose the LSU game last year. I thought after a surprise loss against us they'd do the typical BAMA thing and lock in the rest of the way but they didn't.
IDK about TAMU - they're listed by a lot of media as our trap game this year. And they may well be. For all of the struggles they've had they're still a team that's packed with a ton of talent. For LSU that's about equal talent. For Tennessee, until the next class comes in every Big 6 team we play + TAMU is going to have a talent advantage, at least on paper.
As for betting on BAMA to win the West... I think it takes more than one sub-optimal year to count Saban out and to be fair he's earned that. I don't think West teams can count on the Vols to upset BAMA at BAMA which means that whoever wins the West is going to need to win their cross-div and stay a step ahead of BAMA in SEC wins.
LSU also has Florida as a cross div and while the gators aren't playing at their peak they are still a dangerous team. LSU's schedule looks slightly easier to navigate than BAMA's but the West may well come down to the head 2 head and it looks like BAMA will play Tennessee, get a bye, and then play LSU whereas LSU plays Army, gets a bye, and then plays BAMA.

My mental image of you as an OP is of a young child coming up to a group of adults with the incessant “pay attention to me!”, attention-seeking flailing.
You asked a question, got a response but very little other action, and seem to be trying to escalate it far too obviously.
Go do something productive…or at least become better at trolling.

I have no idea dude. It's 4.5 months away. There are literally a thousand variables that we just don't know. It's a stupid question that doesn't get an answer

Great points...thank you.
You're right, one sub-season (by Bama standards) sure has got alot of folks counting Saban down for the count. That's a bit premature.

That's just dumb man. I'm just a regular ol guy that asked a regular ol question. So, why don't you answer my question? Will LSU will beat Bama or not...and why?
Posted on 5/21/23 at 1:43 pm to Darindawg
wow, what a daring outside-the-box risky pick...

Ok...just asked a question. If an LSU fan would have asked it, I got a feeling, you'd have answered it.
