24/7 Recruiting Team Rankings by Year for Georgia and Bama.

2023 - UGA 2, BAMA 1
2022 - UGA 3, BAMA 2
2021 - UGA 4, BAMA 1
2020 - UGA 1, BABA 2
2019 - UGA 2, BAMA 1
2018 - UGA 1, BAMA 5
2017 - UGA 3, BAMA 1
2016 - UGA 6, BAMA 1

Georgia and Bama have been close ever since Kirby took over at Georgia. For the 2024 class, he is significantly ahead (Georgia #4, Bama #20)...but that class doesn't sign until next February.

2016 - UGA 6, BAMA 1 > DNP (BAMA SEC)

I mean, we sure are making a lot of radical assumptions based on one win.

I understand that Alabama just had a two-loss season, but Kirby is still 1-4 overall.

For comparison purposes, Georgia had two losses in 2019 and dropped the SECCG by four touchdowns (to LSU).

he has twice as many commits. Same exact as last year, when bama got exactly the guys they wanted and I've again ended up #1 in recruiting. This thread is idiotic. Sabans problem has been clinging to a couple bad coordinators for continuity sake, and injuries at the wrong time. Let's not forget, without losing both our NFL recievers to injury from the sec championship to the national championship, Georgia would not have won that first championship in spite of Golding and o'brien

It seems to me, and I could be completely off base, but Alabama is about where they are every year in May...it seems like they are notorious for making huge strides down the stretch. Again I may be wrong...

This. Come February it will look different. Not sure how different, but Alabama will be at or near the top again.
