Well you see I was there, and saw. While many of you try and diminish why Huntsville was picked. It was due to the local talent. The "large group from Houston" never happened. The only thing Houston got, because of Johnson wanting Texas to be included, was "mission control" (a taxi dispatch service)
Huntsville was a clearing house and had final say on everything about the Apollo missions. While several things were built elsewhere, they had to have approval from Huntsville.

Well the Apollo program was actually managed first from Langley and then later, from Houston.
I think the funniest part of this is you actually believe that you're right.
Your statements sound like things someone making fun of Bama fans would say sarcastically.

Unless Werhner Von Braun and his German buddies were actually born in Alabama, I am not sure if I agree with this.
