I’ve never been into college baseball myself. I wouldn’t be if Alabama were good. I’m just not much of a baseball guy.

Likely true. It’s a niche sport that averages lower attendance than gymnastics, women’s basketball, and college hockey. I think we’d fill the seats if we had a good team, but college baseball is a very regional sport in which most programs operate at a considerable deficit, subsidized by football & basketball.

In the 1990’s LSU was complete garbage in football so they decided to dump resources into a niche sport no one cared about or tried in so they could be good at something.
Sad.

I watch a shite ton of baseball. Although, admittedly it's home Marlins games because they're free and Braves games because I'm a fan since the Murphy years. But, I do try and catch Bama baseball whenever possible. Personally, it's an embarrassment on top of multiple other kicks to the nuts over the past few months. Hate it for the kids. A significant violation of trust. For me it's, the Chicago Black Sox, Pete Rose, and, now, Bama baseball, even if the latter doesn't have the national scale.

We’re 1-1 in a series and tied 1-1 in the 7th of the 3rd game with the #5 team in the country. I like our guys’ character.

Yes, the continual decline of collective intelligence and non-trolling, legitimate sports talk here is certainly real.
It's been a bad few months from a PR perspective. That is undeniable. It's suck, as Bama sports is actually crushing it across the board save about 3 programs (volleyball and tennis).
