- Are you Bama fans really confident in your team's ability to match up against florida?
Absolutely. Offensively first. We have one of the best O-Lines in the conference and a very deep stable of rb's, therefore, should be able to run the ball effectively. We have one of the most physical receivers in the conference and, if we can get him the ball, he should be successful. We have two of the best Tight Ends in the conference who have shown they can be a threat in the short to intermediate pass game. They key will be to not turn the ball over, no stupid penalties and keep moving the chains. Things we have stayed steady with all year and been very consistant in our ability to do it.

Defensively, we have a VERY physical front, very large, quick lb's that tackle very well. We have one of the best safeties in the conference and very good cover corners. We have, in my opinion, the best defensive coach in the country. The goal here will be to stop the run, cover deep, again, no stupid penalties and create turnovers. Again, something we have been very consistant in doing all year.

- Do you really think you've got the depth to compete with their athletes?
Depth is not near as bad as many make it out to be. We are deep, just VERY young. That being said that was more of a concern the first half of the season. Many, many guys have shuffled in all year, not to mention the overall talent of the young guys (Frosh All-American LB from 2 years ago is backing up a True Frosh. Our 4th string TB was our leading rusher last year. WR definitely a concern. Need another go to guy other than JJ). Also, make no mistake, we have seen athletes just as good as some Florida have, maybe not as many on one team but would you really bench Spiller, Knowshon, Massaquoi, Green, Byrd, Scott, etc if they played for Florida?

quote:

- Do you think your defensive secondary has seen anything close to Herban Meyer's schemes?
No. This is what makes this game so cool. IMO, the best offensive mind in the game against the best defensive mind. While we probably haven't seen his schemes, Tebow has definitely not seen pressure like he will in a few weeks, imo at least.

All that said, it will take a complete game by Bama to win, as it will by Florida too. What about this? What happens if Bama continues to cause turnovers, like they have all year, and gets short fields, or what if Urban kicks to Javy? I think this will be a tremendous game that will come down to the wire. If Florida destroys Bama I will come back here and eat crow though. I just want to take care of business in two weeks.

UF will handle little nick and pretty boy with ease. There are only a few teams that can stay on the field with UF right now. TT, UT, and UO...No others need apply. SEC is a bit down this year compared to (former)

It's ok. After we beat Florida we can read all the posts about how Bama is the most overrated SEC Champion of all time!

We will never have to worry about seeing those post, cause Bama isn't coming close to FLA...

I've heard that all year. Only instead of Florida it was Clemson, then UGA, then UT, then Ole Miss, then LSU, etc. etc.

i know anything can happen on any given saturday...but i am pleading for the Bama fans to stay the whole game unlike UGA fans...so that we can treat them to a little rammer jammer "UF version"...just like what auburn did a few years ago

It's going to be funny reading all of the excuses here once Bama beats UF.

This season is a lot like 1971 when Bama came off back to back 6 wins seasons to go undefeated in the regular season only to get crushed by the best team in the country

Negative Ghostrider. It's going to be like 1992 when everyone said "Bama will lose this week" and Bama never lost. Then they said Bama has no chance against a certain team from Florida, only to see Bama crush that team.

Actually alot of people (including Me and USA Today) had the Tide winning that one. I had Bama on the ML for that one

Sally Jessica Parker is Alabama’s one major weakness, in 11 games he has throw only 8 TDs with 6 interceptions and is incapable of winning a game with his arm. Florida’s defense will exploit this weakness by shutting down the running game forcing Parker to pass.

Is warranted.

Since UF lost to Ole Miss, they have been killing everyone.
