Fight on, brother. We share this abomination of an affliction. The main difference (as far as I can tell) is that you have hopes of recovery, while mine (pancreas) is batting 1.000 against humanity. I've survived longer (3+ years) than I had a right to expect mostly because I won the wife-picking lottery. My lovely assistant insists on keeping me alive for some reason. Married or not, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have a good family and friends support system in place. On days when you're feeling particularly crappy, they will pump you up and remind you that YOU ARE A STRONG SUMBITCH. So that's my #1.

#2 is don't hesitate to ask for help when needed. And you will need it.

#3: Don't fall. I don't know how your treatment will treat you. But in my case, it turned a bicycle-racing champion into a clumsy fool who can't walk from one end of the house to the other w/o incident. Walking outside to check the mail is impossible. This one pisses me off. A lot. But it's better than falling, which I have some experience with. So... don't fall.

This is a lot of unsolicited advice and you're welcome to tell me to shove off. Either way, be strong and good luck to you.
