I’m not sure how Alabama and Georgia could have the least conference pride for a bevy of reasons.

You don’t go and win the conference and championships and then shite on the conference that you won. Doesn’t make sense.

I think if you say "My team won the SEC" or "My team beat your team"... it's team pride. If you say "A SEC team beat your team"... it's conference pride.

I can only speak for myself but I know other folks who have said the same thing. Bama would be a football power no matter what conference they played in. We don't need the other schools in the conference to be a huge football draw. Bama just happens to be in the SEC. Look at schools atmospheres when Bama comes to town vs when other schools come. It's everyone's biggest game. The field gets rushed every single time Bama loses. Look at how certain schools are practically begging to have us as a perm rival. They know they NEED Bama on their schedule.

A famous Bryant quote that former Bama RB Steve whitman retold. Bryant said "there's other schools that want to win the conference. The conference is you birthright, we don't care about that. We want the national championship"
That says it all.
