What's with all the injuries to our RBs? I saw somewhere there are only two healthy at this time.

Milton is made out of glass. Not sure who else is hurt. Heard Paul and BRob were looking good.

I'm really interested in seeing how Roderick Robinson does.

Milton- Potentially the starter when healthy… but unfortunately he’s prone to some nagging issues.

B Robinson- reminds me of mark Ingram. Imho the best pure rb we have. Should see lots of PT.

Edwards- change-up type guy. Runs with an odd style/ wiggle, but very effective.

Paul- Still taking it slow from the torn ACL. Was ahead of B Robinson before said injury.

R Robinson- Thicc Boi. Listed 235 seems more like 245. Power back. Maybe too thick. Could turn into the terminator if he loses 10 pounds. HS tape looks dominant.

Edited to add: Just saw where Arian Smith mentioned Edwards's minor injury. It's spring though, so I',m not going to sit here and act like Milton's and Edwards's injuries are a huge deal.

Rumor is that Milton is being held back by coaching staff.

But you keep being you.

No reason to risk serious injury to Milton or Edwards in the Spring. We know what they can do and they're ready. Looking forward to seeing our younger RBs get some work.

You get that from sofl? He has the Milton's down his throat so not surprising he would try to sugar coat it.

Best ability is availability and he hasn't been available enough to be counted on.

Yes.

But there is elementary school logic involved.

You can follow elementary school logic. Right?

I do believe he is pretty fast, no? I do know that for part of 2,000+ yards last year he had an injured hamstring - I think it was also in that 456 yd, 8td game, too.

Carry the water all you want. Facts are facts, he misses too much time to be reliable. Mustard overtook his spot by the Mizzou game. He is a good back to being in in the 4th quarter when the defense is tired and isn't trying.

Wait…Who’s Mustard and when the hell did Ketchup and Mayonnaise graduate?

It's spring football.
Bowers missed last spring.
Nakobe missed spring
Roquan missed spring

He has a bad hammy. But he could do everything out there asked of him this spring (unless it worsens). He is a senior. And it's spring football.
He is sidelined as a coaches decision. Not his own.

The young bucks are getting much needed reps right now. That is actually a great thing.

If Milton misses over a quarter of the season (or December/January), then fire away at the guy who has invested more into the football team than I ever have.

People had James Cook on blast until they didn't. I don't see Milton as any different.

Roderick Robinson played over half his 2,000+ yard season with a hurt hammy

And I would hope that the coaching staff took it easy on him in the spring so he could be ready for fall.

Read up on Jim Brown and the special treatment he got from coaches.
I'm not calling Milton Jim Brown.
I'm calling out the lack of necessity to have Milton giving 110% this spring (because our practices are 110% of most other schools).

Lol at putting Kendall Milton on the same plane as those three.

What has Milton done to deserve the privilege of not competing for a spot?

If that's the stuff sofl is feeding y'all now. Oof. He messed up by trying to keep the parents happy on a sports message board.

Wow

I thought this was elementary school logic.
The least important players for spring practice are seniors.
Where is the debate and confusion coming from?

He stays healthy this spring and he is competing in fall camp and every week during the season.
That's exactly the point.

He really didn't say anything.

His implication is that this is going to be a great spring for both Robinsons. I don't disagree.

Sofl has not been high on Branson Robinson (compared to any other back in the room). Ive publicly disagreed with him. The reasoning is Dell's track record with every back. They put on a display of running back drills on Saturdays (hand on the ground, hopping, jump cuts, etc..). They get better and better each year under his coaching.

Sofl has said that Branson already looks different than last season. I'm thinking, "no shite".

I'm looking forward to seeing Kendall in the fall. I expect a wow season from the young man. There is no need for me to be a hypocrite and bash the kid for being hurt when what I expect will be a great season hits Athens in the fall.

I'm all for not bashing Milton, but I don't know why we dance around the fact that he is injury-prone. It's been something with him every single season literally. He should be the starter and he is a good running back when healthy. He's gotten a lot better with his vision towards the end of the last season. I hope he can just stay healthy.

All of this. Something each of his 4 seasons. No one is calling him a bust or something, but he is factually more prone to injury (and I’m not saying it’s his fault either). Unfortunately it just keeps happening. Hopefully this one doesn’t linger into the season. I do think when healthy, he can add a lot to the team.

My only point is... dont include this spring in the "injury prone".
The coaches are holding him back.
This isn't Kendall saying I'm hurt.

1) he's a senior. He isn't learning anything out there.
2) we practice hard. Plenty of guys get hurt. The chance of a tender hammy getting worse would be high.
3) the younger guys (both Robinsons) are getting extra reps. They need extra reps. This is a huge growth opportunity for the RB room.
4) We aren't winning any games with Kendall this spring. That is the coaches' mindset right now.

He should be the starter

He will still need to earn his reps in the fall. And if the room is better, that means he needs to stay ahead of them to keep his reps.

I agree. But every back gets better under Dell. Kendall looked great at the end of the 2022 season and playoffs.

I hope he can just stay healthy.

I'm sure everyone is in agreement on that
