Why do people brag about their team being in the final 4

I never got this mentality. It’s the one thing Arkansas fans can legit dunk on other SEC people about.
Every team in the west except Arkansas (who has won a national championship and another appearance unlike the other SEC west bitches) always talkin’ bout some final 4 appearances.
Bitch, do you realize you’re just being an early 2010s LSU football fan?
How many Arkansas fans you think said “well, the pop up against OSU lost us the NC series, at least we made it to the game.”
No. That’s bitch thinking. Never make fun of A&M again if you brag about final 4s during basketball season. It took Kirby a NC choke, an SECCG choke, ANOTHER SECCG choke, literal cancer and a broken leg for Kirby to win his first NC. Luck is just a part of sports. And brag more about 1994, Arkansas jeez. Might be a long time ago but who else in the SEC, especially the west can claim something like that recently outside of Florida and Kentucky?

I was with you until here. We had won 2 modern BCS titles by that point and played for another. LSU football had more than Arkansas basketball at that point lmao

There's like 355 d1 schools in basketball. Around 130 in football and only about 20-25 college baseball programs give a shite about the sport. It's astronomically harder to make a final 4 than win a championship in football and baseball at the college level.

A final 4 is a "regional champion". Basketball has far more parity so winning the games to get there is a massive accomplishment

To be fair, technically getting to the Final Four is a championship. The regional championship in the bracket. That’s why the winner cuts down the nets when they win in the Elite Eight. It’s the regional championship game.

Yeah it's weird how they forget advertising for the game that comes after that national title game.
Are you seriously arguing that getting to the final four is a bigger deal than getting to the championship game?
