The SEC is very good but not the best.the league has unmatched defense and athleticism. The shooting is what lags behind (on average of course Bama and Mizzou don't lag here)

I agree 100%.

Athletically there isn’t a conference that’s even close.

Coaching is now #1 IMO as well.

There were only two teams who could shoot the ball consistently this year, Bama and Missouri and the Tigers roster was still being rebuilt IMO.

If you want to win the tournament you generally need elite PG play and to be able to shoot the ball from the outside to win the games the officials call closely and the SEC didn’t have that for the most part.

Let’s be clear, putting three teams in the S16 is a really solid showing IMO, it’s just that most of the teams weren’t quite championship level is all.

Meh, I'm not sure about all that. I watch Big East basketball and its like the SEC in football. Their middle of the road teams are better than the rest of America. Go back and look at how many national titles that conference has won. One year 3 of the final four were big east.
