I think hiring an OC is a big step forward for him too. We’ve seen growing pains but I still think Drink has great upside and we’d be wise to be patient.
He’s by far the best recruiter we’ve had and has the energy/moxie that we need in CoMo. To be clear, his “growing pains” so far have led to 3 Bowl-eligible seasons in 3 tries. It’s not like we’ve seen any true disasters.
He’s frustrated me at times but I am still a Drinkwitz believer.

I believe that Drink is a great recruiter with a lot of upside as well. However, I disagree that Mizzou needs to be patient with him. He's a Jimmy Sexton client who has shown a willingness to jump at more money. If he does succeed here, we won't be rewarded for being patient. I honestly am a fan of Drink, but he very much seems like the type to jump to the highest bidder. It's year 4 and time to show results
