Why was deeprig so testy any time someone mentioned street racing in the past 2 months?

Not that I care a ton about his reasoning. But it was very noticeable.

An insider told me what happened. My testiness was wishful thinking that the cops wouldn't have enough evidence to bring a charge, therefore any chatter is just damaging to reputations and internet rumor. But now that there's formal charges, all that is out the window. Basically, the opposite of I Told You So.

Deeprig was doing right by not posting stuff from the rumor mill that could incite news to run with it. That does happen. Its out there now and this is all so terrible.

Makes sense.

Unfortunately with cell phone data, there is never a lack of evidence if the truth hurts.

Cars also have something like the airplane's black box.

To be fair to those mentioning it on boards, it wasn't an internet rumor. I understand wanting to protect reputations. But it wasn't internet rumor at all.
