some clothes?

You have it under the seat, in a door pocket, etc... No law abiding gun owner that goes through the effort to lawfully carry is going to put a gun out of reach in the back seat under clothes. Who the frick leaves a gun in the car under some clothes in the back seat?

If someone posts on the Outdoor board, OT Lounge, etc.. that they had their vehicle broke in and a gun stolen from the backseat "hidden" under some clothes they will immediately be labeled as a complete idiot for leaving it in the car in the first place.

Sorry but none of this makes any sense at all despite what the lawyer or anyone else says. Very little doubt to me that they talked about the gun and it was probably handed to the shooter.

I'm sure Miller didn't think it would ever be fired and that was his big mistake. If he thought the guy was really going to use it he never gives up the gun.

Bad choices and bad judgement in excess on that night by Miller.

Who hides their gun in someone's car without telling them?

You guys are morons.

It wasn't Miller's gun. So when someone asks for a ride to a club and they know they will be checked for a weapon at the door, it is logical to think they will hide the weapon in the back of the car they rode in.

Amazing this needs to be explained. Good Lord you guys are stupid.

I keep mine in a holster in between the driver seat and console when driving. Lock it up when exit vehicle if I’m not carrying it on me

An a-hole that tells his other friend to get it and shoot it.

Do you make sure everybody who gets in your car doesn't have anything illegal on them? Is it possible that someone got in the back seat of your car with something you didn't know they had? Has anyone left anything in your car and ask you to bring it to them?

Alabama has this thing called Constitutional Carry which means you don't have to get a permission slip from the government to exercise your God given right of self-defense, as enumerated in the US Constitution.

Texas doesn't have that, which is clear from what you have posted.

This would all make sense except the text message to miller that brought him to the scene literally says bring me my gun.

So if someone approaches your Prius with ill intent it falls between the seat and console when you go to grab it?

Real smart.

This would have credence if he wasn't already heading there to pick up the guys he dropped off.

Try again

So you make sure everybody that gets into your car isn't carrying? It isn't that hard for it to happen. Picked my best friend up heading to Southside in Birmingham. Got pulled over on 65 by a State Trooper. Walks up to the window and asks for license and registration. Then asks where we were heading. Told him. Then he asked if there were any drugs or weapons in he car. I stated "no" and my friend says "yes". And I'm sure my face went pale. Spent the next 30 minutes on the side of 65 sorting through my car. Friend had his gun taken and needless to say we never made it to Southside.
