Texting and driving is more dangerous than drinking and driving. It's a lot more rare than you believe. Just because you're an idiot who texts and drives doesn't mean everyone else is too.

You may be right, but it's been scientifically proven that neither is as dangerous as delivering a loaded gun to a drunk fool who said he needs to take care of a dude that just dissed him.
