Anybody hear Schumann is talking to Philadelphia Eagles?

I just saw a posting on social media saying they are looking at him for their DC job.

College coaches starting to bolt for the NFL as the already untenable schedule has managed to get even worse. Dude has young kids, don’t blame him for wanting some actual structure in his work life

I haven't read any articles so I have no clue how legit all this "interest" is, but woudln't that seem like a massive stretch for the eagles? Schumann started as a young buck with kirby at bama, then has been with him at UGA so the resume is good. But he's never been the full fledged DC here, only co-DC, and he's only 32. Woudl an NFL team really give their DC job to a barely 30 year old that has never led his own defense before?

Schu has been rumored to be the secret sauce for Kirby since day 1 in Athens.
There are dawg players in Philly able to give a good description of who the man is.
And coaching college is not the gig that it once was.
I expect him to stay. But I wouldn't be shocked to see him go to the NFL either.

Yes and no.
He has been a part of the Bama staff since 2008.
The first 4 years were as a student assistant, though..
Then 2 or 3 years as a grad assistant..
He graduated high school and spent the next 7 years doing nothing but learning football at alabama.
Rumor was that he was drawing up ideas as a grad assistant that were ground breaking creative (and worked on the field).
Similar to monken compliments to bobo/faulkner.

Kirby credits him with creating the M.I.N.T defensive front, which is basically our base defense. There’s an awesome video from a coaching clinic Kirby and Schuman did on YouTube.
