Oklahoma and Texas - You Ain’t SEC

When the Big XII was formed, it had everything in place to be a great conference. The Big 8 was a great league. The SWC was a great league. And the two were practically merging.
But over the years the Big XII failed to reach the heights expected for 2 reasons:
1) The TU administration pissed everyone off in the conference.
2) The conference’s biggest programs failed to win on the biggest stages.
Now those same big programs, Nebraska, OU, and especially Texas, that failed the conference time and again get rewarded for nothing they earned.
The reason the Big XII failed is because those programs failed. It’s not TCU, Baylor, or Kansas State’s fault. If anything, those programs did more than could’ve been expected.
In a healthy system, these “blue bloods” would be forced to stay and develop a competitive conference. Instead they get rewarded for their failure.
OU and Texas are the shitty associate you hire because his dad does a ton of business with your company. They will never be SEC because they didn’t earn it. Regardless of what they do in the SEC, they are, and always will be, failures who waived the white flag.

We don't give a frick about not "being SEC." You're a bunch of southern dumbshits who happen to play good football. Big fricking deal.
So Oklahoma and Texas "failing to win the biggest of games" is why Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, and Texas A&M left? frick off. They all left for the same reasons we are.
We're getting two historical rivals back. We're making tons of money. We can pay players now. It's a match made in Heaven. But make no mistake, we don't want to "be SEC." We're good being Texas.

This will be your downfall.

Y'all think the SEC is indestructible but I promise you Texas (and their lapdog OU) will test that to the very limit. Buckle up, folks.

you dont really think texas will make some kind of unreasonable demands that the conference wont stand up to them .

Neither is A&M and Mizzou.
The original SEC is dead.
Its now a super conference just using those three letters.
NIL, Conference realignment, Transfer Portal in my opinion (and lots of down votes incoming) has destroyed the game those of us from the Southeast grew up with.
My only hope is they restore A&M and Texas to thanksgiving weekend. I loved that game as a college football fan, like Ohio State Michigan, Army Navy and the Iron Bowl.
New world.

Cool Story. Anyways, Oklahoma needs the SEC for a brand boost.

Exactly, we should rename this conference to the Big SWC.

Texas spending $50 million is like a fiver falling out of your back pocket.
