I think we also see when a game is called correctly, this team can get after it.

When you have whistle happy refs it takes this team out of its rhythm.

In most games half of the Mitchell's blocks would have been called fouls.

Nailed it.

its why we looked so solid before conference play. The refs weren't trigger happy SEC refs wanting to blow the whistle all night.

For some reason last night, they let us play like a normal game should be played.

This.

It was refreshing to see the refs adjust to the pace and intensity of the game and not try to dictate it with their whistles.

I’m sure UK fans will bitch about the refs (which you shouldn’t do when you get your arse kicked), but it was a pretty evenly and cleanly called game.

Agree. The SEC’s level of officiating is horrible and I find it hard to believe that they are not bribed in certain cases. The Blue Mist almost descended at about the 8 minute mark but then we were smart and put our foot on the gas to the point that they couldn’t keep calling BS fouls to keep Kentucky in the game. Still. Awesome outcome. 1 more in the correct column.
