JMO but the Grubb interview, you have to remember coaches run in a tight circle. That could have been a resume building interview. The only reason that crosses my mind is because Grubb and Reese run two totally different offenses. Had Saban hired someone who runs a system similar toGrubb then it would point in the direction of he struck out on Grubb and had to settle for candidate B.

Grubb doesn’t even have full autonomy, he runs DeBoer’s system and always has his entire career. I think there’s a mix of we wanted the system but it wasn’t a good fit for where he’s at in his career.
