Steele has one year left to get retirement in Alabama state pension.

Pruitt is friends and can work with Steele - Pruitt will be designing the game plan
Pruitt said only way he would come is if Steele was the DC.

Y’all doubted Saban

Is that the narrative? Saban is focused on Steele vesting for state retirement? Good lord you people are delusional.

Auburn fans said this when they hired him 7 years ago. If his pension was such a big deal, why’d he ever leave the state?

My quick math says 2 years. He needs 10 total. He had 3 previous at Bama and 5 at Auburn.

I think that’s the folks that allowed Ricky Green to “work” for them.

Nothing they ever say will ever hold any value.

The amount of pity Steele has received to get this pension according to rumors is ASTOUNDING

What I love are the Bama fans saying "Y'all doubted Saban" or the ones who respond to other Bama fans not impressed with the hires saying "Saban knows what he's doing"

My question to those responses: Why is Saban having to hire new coordinators? Who hired those clowns (what you are calling them, not me) you are replacing?

That’s just stupid. If Pruitt was able to be hired he would have been the hire. But the NCAA is currently investigating him and his wife, and till that is over Bama is not going to hire Pruitt. Steele could have got his pension being an off field analyst with less stress. Fact is Bama is trying to spin this to make it look like a great hire after being turned down 3 times.

you can buy in pension years from other states you've worked in

Alabama fans =

Steele could have already bought in 20 or 30 years based on other states he's worked in
