Dealing with staff personnel, player rosters...all changing from one moment to the next and having to juggle all these things, not to mention NIL, etc., and having to do so while trying to win.

Then you've got high school kids to deal with.

It's a mess....anyhow, a pretty succinct statement that's point on.

"You got to figure out whether to sign high school kids or portal kids, and what's the balance there? It's great to sign high school kids, but what are the percentages that you're going to keep those kids? If they don't play good, they leave because they want to go play somewhere. If they play good, they go because they get bought. A ton of challenges there." -- Lane Kiffin

Well he's getting paid $9M a year to figure it out so he won't get much sympathy from me.

He's right but he's gotta figure it out like everybody else does now. It's a more level playing field than it was.

Looks like that Ole Miss job ain't as fun as he thought it would be? #cometothesip

But Kiffin isn’t a good recruiter so how would he know? Sounds like a bunch of bs to focus on the portal the most

What about if they don't play good and don't want to leave?

I wonder how much of a difference it would make if the NCAA implemented the old rule that you have to sit out for a year on a transfer unless you already have a degree (grad transfers). That seems like the one thing they could do to potentially curb some of this bullshite without worrying about getting sued.

There is a guarantee that someone has/will figure it out.

There will be many successful styles, too.

Uga May do it with hs talent.
LSU might do it with portal
Alabama may have a perfect combo/balance.

However, we are guaranteed that someone will be successful in every year.
