Same with the WR dept. Losing BL and Byrd won't help
Lafell is a JR this year. He prob isnt ready to go pro.
And our WR depth is outrageous with young talent

recent history tells me he stays
he's a borderline 1st round pick as of now
he could improve his stock greatly with another year

He'll have a good combine and move up some more IMO.
He's having the second best year of any WR in the SEC.

I think he goes after this year. I hope not.

I realize this, but as I said, it will take time for them to settle into their starting roles.

1. Florida - no doubt
2. UGA - besides Moreno, Green, and the QB they have some major talent on defense
3. LSU - the Tigers look like a pro football team
4. Ole Miss - go ahead and laugh, their front four will be in the NFL. They have at least 2 WRs that will be in the league. Snead has a big time arm.
5. Auburn - I still think they have more players than Bama does. They have several hurt.
6. Bama - We have a few guys that are going to be drafted high but we don't have a ton of talent. Rashad Johnson is a 5'11 walk on. Andre, Julio, Rolo, and Cody are probably first round to second round guys.

Lafell
Toliver
Mitchells

shouldnt be hard to find some serviceable guys

Lafell
I still think he leaves, but as an example, look at what happened when he was thrust into the starting role.
And this thread was about LSU talent vs. the rest of the league. Didn't need to be moved.

I agree with the lists in general. How does Ryan Mallet at Arkansas improve that team? I don't keep up with the Hogs. How is their recruiting? I ask because they'll be tougher in 2009 than 2008 based on QB play.

exactly.. and i believe LSU will actually have the most talent in the SEC.. besides the insane 2009 incoming class.. (with shep at the head) lsu's is absolutely loaded/stacked with skill players.. especially at rb, wr, special teams, the d-line is going to be TREMENDOUS.. the db's will be seasoned... patrick peterson, jai eugene, chad jones.. oh and ryan baker could turn into a solid starter..

talent doesn't equal production. if you're a current lsu fan, you should know this well as do i. uga will be second best in talent next year to florida. the offensive line will be young and now experienced especially with sturdivant coming back. d line is ridiculously deep with jeff owens back. linebacking core is absolutely ridiculous only losing ellerbe who isnt as good as advertised (gamble). secondary returns everyone but cj byrd, and is replaced with quintin banks. our talent will be ridiculous and an easy 2nd best to florida.

Too bad they have no one to fricking coach them. Chad Jones should be a legend by now (the forced fumble against Bama at the goalline was PURE talent and no coaching), but the defensive coachng sucks my balls.
And you better believe that Les will be a meathead and stay with the moron Co-DC's. It's just the way he is.

anybody that disagrees with this is clueless. UF and LSU have out-recruited the rest of the SEC over the past 4 years and easily have the most talent on paper.

Michael Crabtree, Jeremy Maclin, and Percy Harvin will all go before Lafell if he declares for the draft. There is a couple of other receivers that would compete with Lafell after the three I listed. Lafell will not be a lock for the first round and should return for his senior season.

I'd like to point out that Lafell have outproduced Harvin as a WR despite the QB disparity.
