That guy is a classic example of why - if you’re a blue chip RB — you should pick a college with other great tailbacks around you so you don’t have to carry the rock 40 times a game and risk ruining your career.



This is a bad bad bad take.

His first injury was a freak accident while blocking. The second was a high low hit. Neither of those were from running too much. Any running back first carry or 1000th would have torn ACL's on both those instances. it was unlucky

It really isn’t and you have a risk to have a career ending injury every time you touch the ball. So saying there’s no difference between 1 carry and 1,000 carries is eliminating mathematic odds.

There’s a term “shelf life” for RBs bc the more Carrie’s the more miles on the back. Spurrier would run that dude into the ground. And continued to do so after his first injury.
