USC is like UCLA in basketball: worthy of being considered one of the greats in the overall scene, but mostly due to dominance in the 60s and 70s.

Whereas Texas baseball is like Duke basketball: should they have more titles than they currently do? Probably. But at least they're in the mix just about every year.

Like another poster said earlier: them becoming dormant is quite a mystery. You'd think they'd have all the advantages, but kids these days would rather play college ball at UCLA, Stanford, Arizona, ASU or Fullerton (however they've been terrible recently)
