Alabama Fans - Quick Questions

I'll be in Tuscaloosa next year for the Texas game. Three questions.
1) Where's the go-to place around campus, bbq preferably?
2) Who will be your starting QB?
3) Will this team be better or worse than the one you brought to Austin last year?

Archibald’s in Northport for Ribs. We don’t do brisket because beef isn’t BBQ.

ETA: I’ve eaten at no fewer than 5 or 6 BBQ restaurants in central Texas that are better than anything Alabama has to offer. Archibald’s and Dreamland have a big following, but Texas BBQ is better. Don’t get your hopes up.

We don’t know. Sorry.

It will be better coached, with a few major question marks at key positions. There is potential for it to be a better overall team for sure, despite the few major losses.

How about places to avoid? I’ll start. The strip.

I think both teams come in slightly improved. Bama has to be dramatically better in the trenches or we beat that liver spotted hag by 10 points.

The Strip is a calm utopia compared to 6th Street in Austin, which I’m assuming the OP is intimately familiar with.

That's a tourist trap, we avoid that place like the plague.

That’s Austin’s much larger, busier equivalent of “The Strip” in Tuscaloosa, is my only point. The fella told you to avoid The Strip, inferring that it’s dangerous. It’s pretty mild compared to what you guys deal with in downtown every weekend. No reason to avoid it.

I mean I changed the title to (questions), I don't understand why that made you so mad lol. Go take your Midol, put your tampon, and chill.

I understand you’re attempting to troll. I understand you’re 1.b to LSUstephen17’s 1.a. But Austin’s “strip” has an exponentially higher rate of gun violence, including a mass shooting in recent history. Telling someone from Austin to stay away from the strip is pretty silly. The strip is child’s play.

Twenty years ago I would have put Tuscaloosa's barbecue scene up against any city in the country and felt confident. But time and, unfortunately, tornadoes have eroded it to a shell of its former self. A lot of people swear by Archibald's but I've never been a huge fan. The Pottery Grill would be my recommendation.

Yeah, that bastion of class called Baton Rouge is so inviting.
OP , just make sure you bring your ID if coming thru LA as it’s turned into a third world country.

Serious question as I’ve been eating BBQ in Tuscaloosa my whole life. What establishments are you referring to in this early 2000s list?
