As it stands now, UGA and Alabama will be regular fixtures.

LSU and Oklahoma will be in fairly consistently.

Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Texas will all expect to be yearly contenders to get in as well.

I expect that three SEC teams will make a 12-team playoff every year, and some years four may make it. I expect that the expanded playoff will make playoff appearances the main barometer of the program is for over half of the conference. Missing the playoffs for three or four years will be evidence of a stagnant program, and will lead to a coach being on the hot seat.

I need to see OU and Venables look more like a Bob Stoops coached team than a John Blake coached team before I agree with this.

What the hell did you see from Oklahoma this year to make you think they'll be a consistent playoff team?

This is a big season for Oklahoma. I'm not sure how long of a leash Venables has. Yeah, injuries, but that 49-0 loss to Texas sparked a little flame under his seat. They need a fast start or they need to absolutely nail their next coaching hire. Otherwise, I can easily see them sliding into that 8-9 win territory where they have trouble breaking through.
