Good to hear names of the young guys already impressing at camp. Jean and Arlis are gonna be a problem with Ricky.

Mertz drew praise from Sale already

James, Mitchell ect

I am looking forward to seeing the passing offense this year.

Even Napier's biggest critics gave him some credit for his running offense, but gave him most flack for his passing attack. Mainly, they cited the WR route design as the root of the problem.

I don't know enough about play design to judge one way or another, but chalked up the results we saw mainly to the visible lack of talent at WR (and TE). Many of our receivers were too slow to create separation from opposing defenders and/or couldn't catch the ball when they did get open. There were questions about Richardson's ability to pass from the pocket last season too (his accuracy and ability to read defenses).

This year I hope to see significant improvement in the pass game. I'm certainly not expecting anything close to 2019 LSU nor 2020 UF/Bama, but I am hoping to see guys get open and create separation, and depending on the ability of whoever is starter, those guys getting the ball more often than not.

I still think we're in for a bit of a rocky year with all the new faces, on the field and on the sidelines, but I do hope that towards the end of the season, some sort of identity (on both sides of the balls, and hopefully specially teams) starts to emerge.

I hope he is the QB we need, sounds like we need a game manager, not a play maker. We should have a solid line, running game, good receivers. We just need someone at QB to make the reads, throw to the guys in the Gator jerseys and hit the receivers when they are open. If it's not Mertz then we have to hope one of the others can do this. Go Gators!

As far as Mertz goes I guess I will have a little hope he can be serviceable if he is the clear starter going into the spring game. If we hear its close between him and Miller I won't have too much confidence in him. I am coming around to thinking we will have at least serviceable SEC lines this year though. I just wish we had a receiver who can stretch the field that isn't a true freshman.

It was going to happen eventually unfortunately not a fan of playing the Thursday night game but if you are going too do it the first game of the season on the road is the time.

Would have preferred it had been moved for a week 0 Game.

People are thinking Austin Armstrong talks like Kirby. He talks way to fast with his cheeks clinched and might as well be spitting out calculus or some other high level math equations but I have no idea what the hell he’s talking about.
