Oklahoma could claim 1954 as well. They were undefeated but did not go to a bowl game because of the no repeat clause with Orange Bowl.
They finished 3rd but could certainly claim it as well.
That would give them a three peat.
I am sure if it was Bama they would claim it.

I wish we would claim titles like y’all pretend we do. Anything in the poll era is ALL only AP/Coaches/BCS/CFP

Otherwise, show us just ONE school that doesn’t claim Ap/Coaches poll titles from pre BCS era. There aren’t any
