No offense, but Auburn was on probation in 1957 when they won their first title for paying players. They were under investigation in 2010 for paying a player when they won their second title. (Yes, I am aware nothing was found...but coincidence?)

They're not one of the most penalized teams in NCAA history for nothing.

Very interesting read related to the Beaube brothers ($500 each) and Don Fuell probations of 1957/1958.

Sounds like auburn kicks arse when it pays players… NIL Era here we come!
