We are better at football and possibly better at basketball. Personally I don’t think either should be in the sec but do you really think texas is the better choice?

This is why they don't pay ya to think bud. On a per fan basis TCU is even more pretentious than Texas.

Even if it was true tcu has 1/100 of the fans texas has so it really doesn’t matter.

Even most of you Longhorns don’t root for tcu in times like this which is gay as frickkk

How much money, fan support, TV viewership, and national branding do you bring to the table?

Texas is #1 in money every year whether they win or not so I think we'll take the pretentious horns over the pretentious frogs.

Why should I root for TCU? I've been fond of Georgia since David Greene was playing quarterback, and I personally know two Georgia fans who are great friends of mine. All of the TCU fans I've encountered on this forum are jackasses. If I'm supposed to root for TCU out of state or conference camaraderie, the only university in the state of Texas or the Big 12 I'm concerned about is Texas. The rest of you can pound sand.

Basically, I hope Georgia beats the frog shite out of TCU.

I bet there are more Texas and Oklahoma fans in the DFW area than TCU fans. Nice try.

I didn't make the point to pat Texas on the back. That poster made a foolish attempt at arguing for TCU because they happen to be located in the metroplex, but it's obvious to anyone with a functioning brain that Texas and Oklahoma fans still outnumber TCU fans there.

I agree with your point. I guess if media is all that matters they went with the right choice. I thought they wanted good teams though

Texas has a well-rounded athletics program while TCU only has football in certain years...

Tcu basketball is probably better than any sec team besides Alabama this year

If we're only talking about football, sure. TCU has outperformed Texas over the last decade. I'd be a fool to deny that, but there's more to sports programs than the football team. I only really care about Texas football, personally, but the the Texas sports programs are riding high right now. The only program really lagging right now is the football program.
