re: Any coaches you legit just didn’t like as a person?

Back in the late 90's I helped run Nolan Richardson's annual golf tournament. He hosted almost all of the biggest names in the sport and even some celebs who weren't basketball coaches, like Steve Atwater. This was in the summertime, and for the most part, all of the coaches have their guard down and are having a great time. Some that stand out as particularly good guys were Tubby Smith, Billy Tubbs, and Mike Anderson.

The one guy that stood out as one of the biggest A-holes I've ever encountered was Dean Smith. Part of my job was to greet the coaches when they arrived and ask if they needed anything. I greeted Smith, reached out my hand to introduce myself and offer to help him find his cart. The guy didn't shake my hand, then he reached in his pocket, opened his flip phone and started dialing. Prick.
