It was pretty cool seeing Mizzou arena going nuts. It’s been quite some time.

I realize the talent isn’t quite there, but it seems like recruiting is progressing nicely. Is it fair to expect an NCAA tourney trip next year?

Probably 2-3 seasons. Recruiting will be better.

Remains to be seen if Gates can coach defense ...

But at least the offense is more fun to watch.

In basketball, you’re only ever one big class away from relevancy and a tournament run. Gates has what, 3 four stars in 23 class? If he hits on all three, Mizzou will win 20.

with the portal technically never, but at most it should be 1-2 years.

Well I think Mizzou knocks off at least one of the top SEC teams this season (hopefully not us) so that trends towards relevant.

Obviously the goal is an NCAA bid. Going to the NIT and having a big run wouldn't be the end of the world. Y'all may need to do some work in the SEC tournament but that could be manageable.

It isn't like some of the programs in the SEC this year that are just hoping to get an SEC win or two in conference play. Missouri has something to play for and the better you do the better next year will be.
