Would be an awesome job with that $400,000 salary. I’m not sure how much he makes just assuming it’s near there.

Dave Bartoo was just on the Chuck Oliver Show. This is a MUST listen!

Skip ahead to 34:25 to get to the segment where he talks about Auburn.

Highlights:

1) He confirms that he was involved in the hiring search for Auburn. Zero surprise that Freeze ended up being the guy as he grades out extremely high by Bartoo's metrics. Cohen used Bartoo's firm at MSU as well when they hired Mike Leach.

2) He talks about the Coordinator hires:

Ron Roberts: Refers to him as a "3.5 - 4 star DC". He states that his "highs" are "really high", and his lows are "a little bit lower than I'd like". Thinks he will be excellent specifically in developing the young players on defense.

Philip Montgomery: Reiterates the elite metrics that have been posted already in Tweets. He is a Top 5% QB coach in the 5 seasons wherein he has held that title. States that even this past season at Tulsa that their offense was 27th in offensive scoring efficiency and 111th in defensive scoring efficiency (ie: they were 4-8 because of their horrible defense). "You are getting a VERY good offensive coordinator, you are getting an EXCEPTIONAL QB coach".

3) Notes that Montgomery joins an already exceptional OC/QB coach in Freeze himself. He loves the offensive staff (Cadillac grades as a ~Top 20% RB coach I believe). Called out the offensive line coach as well, and most interestingly....

4) He said the WR coach is a "RECRUITING BEAST". This obviously implies that the hire has already been decided but that it hasn't been announced yet.
