The strange thing is that it's been the same plays all year. Rattler is finally seeing the field and the plays that have always been there.
So our OC didn't try different plays or concepts when his QB wasn't able to handle his play calling. So he just kept calling the Same plays... that's a reason to fire him right there.

I have to be on satts side here. I have no doubt that our offense will be who they are in our bowl game.
Whoever we play should be very concerned. That is why he needs another year.
Arent you tired of starting over?

Putting Atkins in the backfield to help on max protection plays for Spencer to go downfield was a huge change he made. It solidified the offensive line a bit- notice all of a sudden pass blocking was better - and the QB had way more time to sit in the pocket and take more down field shots during games. Which in turn make the offense far more dynamic, and made defenses have to guard more of the field and for longer. Add to that, it allowed getting another TE on the field without pulling one of the playmakers off the edge.
I'm not a Satterfield fan per se, but after 1000 yards of offense in two games against two top ten teams in monumental wins, seems like it would difficult to fire him. I think he does need to produce in the bowl game though. But maybe he has learned a few lessons through this year.
