I’d argue even to this day, it’s Nick’s best coaching job. From the coordinators to the players and game prep. Florida didn’t have Mullen, sure, but I don’t think it would’ve mattered. There was really no stopping that squad that day.

Somehow Greg McElroy was able to outshine Tim Tebow against a defense composed of Will Hill, Major Wright, Joe Haden, Carlos Dunlap, Brandon Spikes and our punter of all people made a picture perfect tackle to save a touchdown on great value Percy Harvin, Brandon James.

Man, we had a first ballot pro football hall of fame wide receiver on that squad and his primary duty that whole year was run blocking. Those dudes were just built different.

Crazy how different the foundation the Alabama standard was built on has deviated from lately. Those dudes knew going into that game that Florida was already beat the moment they stepped the field.

Dunlap didn't play in that game. He was suspended.

Yep...the week of the game, IIRC. I remember when that hit the media and thinking, yep, we are going to win.

Little did anyone know that GMAC would play the game of his life.
