As expected. Defending national champs will have an entire home slate without a single night game - bummer.

If GT didn’t suck so bad or if this Rivalry had a spark we might get out of the noon slots for this game don’t get me wrong I hope The nerds stay in the dirt permanently and as long as possible but 12 o clock noon on rivalry week the best weekend in college football IMHO just sucks!

As usual.

Unless I'm wrong, I don't think we've played Tech after 1pm since 2006?

Both schools like playing that game early (similar to GA-FL not wanting to play after 3:30)

Playing at home, hopefully playing our scrubs in the 2nd half, resting basically all day, while LSU plays @ aTm at night in what hopefully will be a physical blood bath.

We played a 7:45 PM kickoff in 2010 - it was COLD.

I saw a list recently that had all the SEC schools listed in order of the number of night games and we were at the very bottom. I think the next closest team was south Carolina and they still had way more than us. Why is that?

Eastern Time zone
2nd most CBS games
Florida game (always 3:30)
Used to be south ga fans but schools no longer have a say.

It's a shame. Got all those fancy lights in the stadium and no opportunity to use them.

That game has been a noon kick for years. I think like someone said it was 2009 when we had a night game. I recall tailgating for one night Ga - Ga Tech game at Tech. I think that was 2005. I think we used to play Tech at Tech on even years but that has changed since we missed the COVID year.

I am fine this game being at noon.

Gives the team more time to rest up and get ready for the SECG

Naw, we played them in prime time back in 2009-2010…..In 09, GT had won their side of the ACC, Mark Bradley had declared Paul Johnson a coaching genius and said we’d be lucky if we had superiority over Tech the next decade, and GT had beaten us the year before.

Final…..UGA 30, GT 24. It was the ‘We Run This State Game.’ Paul Johnson all of the sudden had bigger fish to fry, and he ended up 3-8 against Georgia before retiring/getting fired.

Will watch first half, then switch to the playoff game also at noon. Unless it’s a blowout

i am 10000% positive we played them at night at home in 2010. freshman year of college.

i don't remember any night games beyond that, but 2010 is a definite.
