Saban and his family have experienced the glow of pleasing Alabama fans with consistent championship level football.
They have no idea how fricking awful Alabama fans are when they slip below that expectation.

At least we have high expectations. That’s a hell of a lot better than being content at being a perpetual mediocre program whose fan base is obsessed with beating their in state rival instead of focusing on championships.
