I'm really starting to wonder if this might be Saban's last season. Not sure he's going to want to go through the complete rebuild that's necessary-and it's necessary. And I'm not sure he'll be able to hire the talented coaches we need.

It doesn't help that Auburn will probably have a good new coaching staff in place. Good chance that they will pull a coach from the group of Freeze, Kiffin, Prime or Lanning. Any of those will be difficult to deal with.

Not if he retains BOB and Golding. I remember when Shula thought he wouldn’t be fired for trying to keep assistant coaches that weren’t deserving of being around.

LOL Quit buying tickets, merchandise, etc and see how much the athletic department grows.

Golding is still here and BOB is only replaced because he leaves for another opportunity, then it’s highly likely that the dynasty is over, and time for this fan base, this entitled emotional fan base, to behave with some dignity and class toward the man who brought Alabama back to greatness, the man who is THE GOAT, the man who has given more to this team and University, than any poster on the board.

Was with you till this. frick that mentality I’ve already survived cancer once tomorrow is promised to no man I’m not waiting around just satisfy someone that’s been paid millions of dollars.

The "sunshine pumpers" you remember were members of the media (particularly the national press) who thought we were mad for wanting to fire Shula after only four seasons.

There were plenty in the Alabama fanbase who had resigned themselves to failure. After three decent season out of ten, and one SEC title during that stretch, many had given up hope. That or there were even more internet trolls back then because the Sunshine Pumpers were all over BAMAmag.com, Tider Insider, and BOL everyday.

None of them, with the possible exception of Steve Sarkisian, were very well thought of when they arrived at Alabama.

The Falcons fans couldn’t get rid of Sark fast enough (due to having Kyle Shannahan as the OC prior). Sark was an hired as an analyst after being fired for being a constant drunk as HC at USC.

I’d take Sark over Kiffin as OC everyday of the week though. Much better developer of QBs, it’s not even close.

Name one game where Saban has aimed for perfection with the second team, score be damned.he is full of empty platitudes that are ignored until he loses. He shuts the process down.

Staff turnover cost us 2019. Without that turnover, we don't have Lupoi and Locksley running horrific schemes.

And yes, Locksley's scheming was terrible. We ran the same slant play 30% of the time and Clemson abused the hell out of simple playbook in our matchup.

Agree that Locksley was a shitass OC, but that was 2018, not 2019. And BAMA outgained Clemson in that game, just couldn’t score in the red zone. They outgained UT and LSU this season too. Committed multiple self inflicted wounds in every game. It’s a trend in just about every loss too.

ETA: I will say that Tua throws one hell of a slant pattern.

My favorite play of that championship was running Tua on basically a toss sweep and it being absolutely destroyed in the backfield.
