We have one, count it, 1 first down in the first quarter of this game. This is not a fire Briles thread, but how is the defense supposed to maintain when the offense is doing that shite?

Having an actual QB would be cool.

What better time to get someone else some playing time? This team doesn’t deserve a bowl game.

I don’t understand the slow starts.

KB is terrible at scripting plays.

This team would play down to a junior high school team. It’s time for Sam to take some heat for this bullshite. We have more of a talent advantage on Liberty than Alabama and Georgia have on us. If you have people who don’t want to be out there, get them the hell out of there. That includes Rocket, KJ, the offensive line, anyone.

Liberty is a one point loss to the #21 team in the country away from being 8-0. We should win for sure but idk if anyone expected it to be a cakewalk

We are down 14-0 to Liberty with their third string quarterback. Yeah, it should be a cakewalk. What would happen if we played Georgia with our third string QB?

Is it that, or is it the line hasn’t blocked anyone, KJ can’t hit any target, and receivers can’t catch anything that touches their hands.

We’re going to look back in a year or two and realize that we massively fricked up by not giving Kiffin anything and everything he wanted. Good times.

We never start fast. It’s scripting, he’s not good at it.

Hiring a coach who thinks he is bigger than the program and university isn’t the answer, unless your goal is to be a stepping stone. If that’s the case, we need to get out of the SEC in football, and see if the SWAC or Conference USA will take us.

Correct. If we’re in year 3 and losing to teams like Liberty at home on homecoming and the Texas A&M team that we lost to, we made a mistake. I was afraid that last year might have had a lot of lucky breaks and saw a lot of coaching mistakes that most of us wrote off. Now those mistakes and shite coaching are showing and we’re going to lose to freaking Liberty. Love the excuses that they’re a ranked team. We are an SEC school - if they have access to good players, then ours should be even better. We always make a complete joke out of ourselves like this in pretty much every sport, so don’t know why I’m melting at all.

It's this. His accuracy is terrible and truthfully, a KJ that's not willing to run is not going to get it done. It's clear there is a conscious decision for him not to run.

Hiring a coach who is literally “bigger” than the players twice hasn’t worked well for us twice now. Also, we aren’t a destination school right now. We’re still a smoldering dumpster fire that’s one flame away from reigniting and it’s becoming obvious.

Kiffin has done nothing at Ole Miss that he’s been accused of by fans outside of Oxford. The guy seems genuinely happy there and continues to prove the doubters wrong. I’ll be shocked if he goes anywhere outside of a Bama/UGA/Ohio State type opening.

Kiffin didn’t want to be here, or he would have been our coach. I don’t know why we constantly want to think about what would have been with coaches who aren’t interested in coaching here. If any coach in the country knows that the money would be there if you win here, it’s Lane Kiffin. If he wanted to be here, whatever Ole Miss was willing to pay him beyond what we had offered wouldn’t have made a damn bit of difference.
